9月，新疆喀什地区民政局、慈善总会联合河南省胸科医院开展先心病义诊筛查，在莎车、泽普、叶城、麦盖提、塔县等5个县，近400名接受筛查的孩子中，有28名被查出先心病且符合手术指征。
In September, the Civil Affairs Bureau and Charity Federation of Kashgar, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, cooperated with Henan Provincial Chest Hospital to carry out voluntary screening for congenital heart disease. 我们这群孩子里面最多见的就是心房间隔的缺损。那么我们查出来年龄超过5岁的，缺损大的，我们这次给他动员了一批，先来做（手术）了，因为这个房缺可以隐匿很多年没有症状，所以这种病人通常发现（的时候）都在学龄期的孩子多。
Among these children, the most common condition we diagnosed is atrial septal defect. We performed surgeries on some of the children we diagnosed this time who were over the age of five, and had significant atrial septal defects. Atrial septal defects can remain asymptomatic for many years, so these patients are typically diagnosed during the school-age years.

这批新疆筛查的孩子，带回来总共28名，经过这两天的检查，基本明确诊断有27位孩子，需要外科干预手术的大概有5个孩子，还有22位孩子，可能需要微创的治疗就能解决问题。

这一个病人是个小房缺，5个毫米的小房缺，就是正常人呢，心房之间是没有缺损的，介入（手术）就是用封堵器直接放到这个小房缺上，它有个盘，两个盘夹住缺损的边缘，然后呢中间一个腰正好卡在这儿。所以我们刚才看这样的（手术）很简单，刚才做实际上就几分钟的时间，3-6个月之后它都长上去了，所以组织都包裹了。
This patient has a 5-millimeter small atrial septal defect. For normal people, there is no defect between the atria. For the surgery, we directly place a catheter occluder on this small atrial defect. The catheter occluder has two discs to clamp the edges of the defect, and then it will be placed in the middle. So, the surgery we did was actually very simple. The procedure took only a few minutes. In 3-6 months, it will have grown over, and all the tissue will have enveloped it.
